Conference programme

About the Conference

The need to reflect on multimodal approach of teaching arises from the achievements of modern science, the extent and pace of changes in civilisation, as well as their effect on individuals and societies. The need to reflect on multimodal approach of teaching arises from the achievements of modern science, the extent and pace of changes in civilisation, as well as their effect on individuals and societies. Multimodality, i.e., the coexistence and interaction of various sign systems, such as language, image, and sound, creates semantic and functional coherence and this structured communication is extremely important to human cognitive processes.
At a time when, every day, millions of people use a language other than their native one, as an educating centre for teachers, linguists, and psychologists, this gave rise to the proposal to organize an international conference on multimodal approach of language teaching.

We would like the conference to be an opportunity to conduct an in-depth analysis of the phenomenon of multimodal aspects of foreign language and ethnic language teaching by specialists in linguistics, didactics, and psychology. We would like the conference to become a place for sharing experiences, good practices and results of the latest scientific research. Our scientific meeting will surely bring new solutions in using mulitimodal aspects of teaching Polish language and culture.

We anticipate a post-conference publication in 2023
